Your Reservation Includes:

While staying at Thornewood Castle, you can enjoy our lovely elegant common rooms, 3 acres of grounds and lake front, the 1/2 acre sunken perennial English garden designed by the famous Olmsted brothers, a summer porch with a lake view, a beautiful loggia, and a piano in the Great Hall for your pleasure.

The Game Room has pool, ping pong, and foosball, there are good books in the Library, and we have a video library in our Movie Room. Some rooms have wireless internet and wireless internet is available in the Great Hall. Wireless internet is also available in Lakeside and Lyoness.

Although we do not serve breakfast, you are welcome to have food delivered during your stay or bring it with you. Utensils and plates are provided in each room for your use.

Room Reservation Policies:

Payment in full is required at the time of reservation. After your payment has cleared your credit card account (this usually takes one to three days) your specifically requested room & date(s) will be officially reserved. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and checks (payment by check acceptable if made 7 or more days prior to arrival). Thornewood Castle is located in a private gated community. Advance reservations are required. We do not accept walk-up guests. Rooms may not be sub-rented. We reserve the right to refuse service, and cancel any reservation, at any time, with full refund of any payments received.

Room Reschedule Policy:

You can reschedule a reservation without fee or penalty if rescheduled more than 72 hours in advance of scheduled arrival.

Room Cancellation Policy:

We will issue a full refund, less a $75.00 per night cancellation fee, if canceled more than 7 days in advance. We do not offer refunds for nights cancelled less than 7 days in advance. (Please also see reschedule policy above).

Check In/Check Out:

Our check-in time is 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. You may arrive later, but we do not have an overnight desk. We ask that you let us know of a late arrival time so we can inform our on call staff member who will need to check you in. Our check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

Other Important Policies:

• No smoking inside the house nor inside any room, at any time.

• No pets are allowed at any time.

• No children under the age of 12 may visit upstairs within the Castle without parental supervision.

• Guests must be over the age of twelve to spend the night inside the main Castle.

• Maximum occupancy of two people per bedroom, unless otherwise stated.

• Only registered guests are allowed inside the house. No visitors are allowed inside the house or on the grounds except briefly to pick you up or drop you off.
