Your Reservation Includes:
While staying at Thornewood Castle, you can enjoy our lovely elegant common rooms, 3 acres of grounds and lake front, the 1/2 acre sunken perennial English garden designed by the famous Olmsted brothers, a summer porch with a lake view, a beautiful loggia, and a piano in the Great Hall for your pleasure.
The Game Room has pool, ping pong, and foosball; there are good books in the Library, and we have a video collection in our Movie Room. Some rooms have wireless internet and wireless internet is available in the Great Hall; wireless internet is also available in Lakeside and Lyoness.
We are no longer serving breakfast.
Reservation Policies:
Guests must be over the age of twelve to spend the night inside the Castle, but they are welcome in our two adjacent apartment suites. All rooms are booked for double occupancy unless otherwise stated.
Payment in full is required at the time of reservation. This guarantees your requested room & date. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and checks (payment by check acceptable if made 7 or more days prior to arrival). Thornewood Castle is located in a private gated community. Reservations must be done 48 hours in advance; we do not accept day-of reservations or walk-up guests.
Reschedule Policy:
You can reschedule a reservation without fee or penalty if rescheduled more than 72 hours in advance of scheduled arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
We will issue a full refund, less a $75.00 per night cancellation fee, if canceled more than 7 days in advance. We do not offer refunds for nights cancelled less than 7 days in advance. (Please also see our reschedule policy above).
Check-In & Check-Out Times:
Our check-in time is between 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. If arriving after our check-in window we need to know ahead of time and an estimated time of arrival. Our check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
Important Policies:
No smoking inside the house nor inside any room, at any time.
No pets are allowed at any time.
No children under the age of 12 may visit or upstairs within the Castle without parental supervision.
Guests must be over the age of twelve to spend the night inside the main Castle
Maximum occupancy of two people per bedroom.
Only registered guests are allowed inside the house. No visitors are allowed inside the house or on the grounds except briefly to pick you up or drop you off.
