The Presidential Suite received its name as an homage to two of the Castle’s illustrious guests - U.S. Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Taft.
U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt was a guest of the Thornes for two weeks and U.S. President William Howard Taft stayed for three days.
This room features a four-poster British Empire king-size bed, a small corner tub, an electric fireplace, and a stunning view of American Lake from one of its two large bay windows with 16th century stained glass inserts. There is a small in-room refrigerator and microwave.
This room is the management's personal favorite. It also used to be the previous owner's private bedroom. It is a favorite of many of our visitors.
**This room is located on the 2nd floor of the home and we do not have an elevator.**
